Mission Statement
We convert print materials to braille and large print for the blind.
We have the skills, knowledge, desire and equipment to make print information available in braille, large print and audio tape. The business grew out of frustration over the lack of access to printed information.
We convert almost any document to an accessible format, usually braille or large print.
Examples
Contracts, appliance instructions, bills and statements, hotel room information, menus, legal documents, rental agreements, guide books, - all should be available in braille or large print.
You send us your document (clean, typed or printed, or on disc) and we send back your original and a braille copy, on 8-1/2 by 11 paper, comb bound or stapled.
It's as simple as that.
Of course, if you want large print, it works the same way.
Audio tape is good for some projects. We can produce studio quality tapes, male or female voices - as many copies as you would like.
Quality
Braille and large print must stand a lot of hard usage. We feel that if a document is put in braille it should be the best braille possible. Smudged and sloppy printing is not acceptable, neither is shoddy braille. We follow the rules for braille translation and produce correct, clean, clear braille. Melita Waters is a Library of Congress Certified Literary Braille Transcriber.
